We see each child as a individual and cater to their learning style in a safe, peaceful, and nurturing environment. The Montessori Learning Center Today/The Children's Learning Harbor uses the Montessori curriculum. This curriculum teaches and nurtures a diverse group of children all over the world.
What is Montessori?
Dr. Maria Montessori was an education pioneer born in 1870 and the first woman in Italy to receive a medical degree. She learned from her obervations that children learn best when given the opportunity to manipulate objects and explore their world. She advocated then for what is now called the hands-on approach to education. She carefully designed materials to help children learn using their senses and their natural inquisitive nature.
